David Walliams

Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
